Arbutin

Arbutin is a molecule extracted from the bearberry plant that prevents the formation of melanin. Brown spots come from pigments produced in cells called melanocytes, which contain tyrosinase enzymes. They can activate anytime they come in contact with UV light, which is why you’ll notice freckles and sun spots starting to develop if you spend too much time in the sun. That’s when arbutin comes in—it blocks tyrosinase and keeps dark spots at bay.

Centella Asiatica

Centella Asiatica goes by many names and has many uses. A member of the parsley family, Centella Asiatica is common in many cuisines and has been used in both ayurvedic and traditional Chinese medicine for thousands of years. While Centella Asiatica has been in the West for centuries, it’s usually played a supportive role in skin and wound care products. One of the reasons Centella Asiatica features so prominently in skin care products is that it does a great job keeping skin hydrated. That’s especially important for people with conditions like eczema or rosacea, which can dry out and sensitize your skin. Also helps with burns and wound healing, reduces inflammation, slows signs of aging, Centella Asiatica contains phytochemicals that are important for reducing oxidative stress on the cells that make up our connective tissue.

Arnica Montana

Arnica is one of those ingredients that has stood the test of time. Hyaluronic Acid

Hyaluronic acid is a molecule naturally found in your skin and the connective tissue in your body. It acts as a cushioning and lubrication agent for our joints, nerves, hair, skin, and eyes. Hyaluronic acid is a moisture binder, which means that it will attach itself to the water in the cells making your skin looking plump. So, not only is it a moisturizer it also has the ability to hold extra moisture. Lack of moisture is one of the main culprits of aging skin, which is why this ingredient is a must-have when it comes to repairing your skin’s moisture barrier.
